Teri Wheat is Training for Success!!!
My inspiration to participate with the Team in Training comes from my own battle with cancer and from others who have been affected:

I will also be completing this event for my honored hero, Hillary Desmarais, a nine year old (pictured with me) who is fighting a battle she shouldn't have to face at such a young age. Thankfully she is currently in remission.
I will be completing a marathon on October 28, 2002 to achieve a personal goal I have set. I also will be raising $5500. to support research, patient services, advocacy and education for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
I am proud to be a member of the "Team in Training" and promote an organization leading the way in research and treatment of Hodgkin's disease, lymphomas, and other common types of cancer, including breast and lung cancer.
